| These cars are a completly different world.. NOT a Chevy, and NOT a Honda.. they are in a league of there own.. Get a factory manual ( paper ) and sit and read it.. then search here and on other forums for information.. JDM is the Fastest way to get the car on the Highway.. IF you get a good motor.. it's a roll of the dice.. NEED to get a TT Motor, as the Compression ratios are different NA to TT.. Rebuild will be pushing $5K for a cheep local re-build.. $8K for the better shops.. If the Block you have is 150K Miles or more, then boring is required.. You can LIKELY just freshen up that motor with Valves and bearings/Rings/Gasketts and get away with $2-$3K.. but a tear down is required .. DO you have the SPACE??? Take LOTA Pictures of the Car and Pieces as it's coming apart, and LABEL and place the Bolt/Nut groups in LABELED Plastic Sandwich Baggs.. as you will get confused as to what goes where.. BTDT. Consider getting a new wireharness for the Engine/ECU.. if it's out, replace it for $450.. it's cheap .. Get the ECU Chipped now, so it can be changed and tuned later.. My favorite quote from reading posts is.. " I've finally figured out why I'm having so much trouble working on my Z.. I was born with only One Wrist and One Elbow per Arm!" Good Luck..Cj
